Mahashivratri Mahotsav

Shri Gagangiri Maharaj Ashram, Dhankal

A divine confluence of Shiva consciousness, sadhana, and spiritual energy celebrated with immense devotion under the guidance of Abhijitnath Dada.

Mahashivratri Mahotsav

The Sacred Night of Shiva

Maha Shivaratri, observed on the 14th night of the dark fortnight in the month of Phalguna, symbolizes the sacred union of Shiva and Parvati and the triumph of light over darkness and ignorance.

With the blessings of Mahavatar Babaji and under the divine guidance of Abhijitnath Dada, Mahashivratri 2026 was celebrated with immense devotion and spiritual fervour on 16th February 2026 at Shri Gagangiri Maharaj Ashram in Dhankal.

Satsang and Spiritual Teachings

The sacred celebrations commenced with a deeply enlightening Satsang by Abhijitnath Dada. Through profound yet simple explanations, Dada described the essence of Shiv Tatva — explaining that Shiva is not limited to temples or idols, but exists as divine consciousness within every being.

Dada also explained that Mahashivratri is an exceptionally powerful night for spiritual practices because cosmic energies and special celestial alignments naturally activate the Sushumna Nadi for longer durations.

Sacred Rituals: Rudrabhishek and Mahahavan

Following the Satsang, a sacred Rudrabhishek was performed on the Shaligram Shivling and Parad Shivling with great devotion. The Shivlings were ceremonially bathed with Panchamrit while devotees continuously chanted "Om Namah Shivaya" and offered Bel Patra.

At around 2 AM, the Mahahavan commenced — one of the most powerful phases of the entire spiritual gathering.

Divine Blessings and Shaktipat

After the completion of the Mahahavan, Abhijitnath Dada lovingly blessed each seeker individually by offering energized and spiritually consecrated Rudraksha beads. Dada also performed Shaktipat by touching the Sahasrara Chakra (Crown Chakra) of the devotees.

Mahashivratri 2026 became a truly unforgettable night of devotion, surrender, spiritual discipline, and inner transformation — a sacred celebration where Shiv Tatva awakened within every soul.
